mustard is seeking a Spatial Designer to create compelling 2D/3D overlays and visuals for major outdoor events in London. The role focuses on transforming temporary infrastructure into a distinctive brand environment through high-quality 3D renders and architectural treatments.
You will develop spatial designs for grandstands, scaffolding, truss and facades, balancing aesthetics with practicality and sightlines, while collaborating with production and project teams to ensure feasibility.
SPATIAL DESIGNER, 2D/3D, EVENT OVERLAY & VISUALISATION
Location: London, hybrid
Contract: Full-time, (4 days in-office, 1 day wfh)
I'm working with a leading international live events company looking for a creative Spatial Designer with strong 3D visualisation skills to help shape the look and identity of large-scale outdoor events.
This role is about more than placing temporary structures on a site plan. It's about turning grandstands, scaffolding, truss, gantries and other event infrastructure into a visually striking, cohesive environment that feels distinctive to the event and its brand.
We're looking for someone who combines spatial understanding with a strong design eye, and who can communicate ideas through convincing 3D models, renders and presentation visuals.
We're interested in designers who have worked on large-scale outdoor events, temporary venues or live outdoor environments where visual impact and practical delivery go hand in hand.
You’ll ideally bring:
AutoCAD experience would be useful, but doesn't essential. They're flexible on 3D software (although Vectorworks preferable), so the quality of your work and the relevance of your experience matter more than the package you use.
Relevant backgrounds could include festival stage and site design, sporting event overlay, temporary architecture, scenic design or large-scale outdoor event environments.
This isn't a conventional exhibition stand design role. We're looking for someone who understands the scale, structures and practicalities of outdoor live events, and knows how to give them a strong visual identity.
