Role Description

The 3D Printing Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Portsmouth. This role is responsible for preparing and operating 3D printers, managing print queues, and monitoring print jobs to ensure quality and consistency. Daily tasks include machine setup and calibration, loading materials, performing routine maintenance, and troubleshooting equipment and process issues. The technician will inspect and finish printed parts, follow established production workflows, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet project deadlines. Accurate documentation of production activities, adherence to safety and quality standards, and continuous improvement of processes are core aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience with additive manufacturing technologies, materials (e.g., polymers, resins, metals), and production environments is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to follow technical instructions, and commitment to safety and quality standards are required.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting are important.
• Technical or vocational training in manufacturing, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
