Job summary

TEKEVER in the UK is seeking an enthusiastic Additive Manufacturing Technician to join our growing Manufacturing team. This hands‑on role covers establishing and operating TEKEVER’s additive manufacturing capability, supporting rapid prototypes, engineering development and production components for Aerospace and Defence systems.

Qualifications

  • Experience with industrial additive manufacturing / 3D printing equipment.
  • Practical manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions.
  • Good understanding of dimensional tolerances and component quality.
  • Strong attention to detail and methodical in production documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain industrial additive manufacturing equipment (SLS, PA12 focus).
  • Prepare, set up and execute additive manufacturing builds.
  • Prepare build files and optimise component orientation.
  • Manage material handling and traceability.
  • Post‑process and inspect finished components.
  • Maintain accurate production and equipment records.
  • Support prototype, R&D and production programmes.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on processes and quality.

Mission

We are looking for an enthusiastic and technically capable Additive Manufacturing Technician to join our growing Manufacturing team.

This is a hands‑on role where you will help establish and operate TEKEVER’s additive manufacturing capability, supporting everything from rapid prototypes and engineering development through to production components for our Aerospace and Defence systems.

You will take ownership of additive manufacturing jobs from build preparation through to finished component, working closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering and Quality.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain industrial additive manufacturing equipment, including SLS and polymer‑based systems.
  • Prepare, set up and execute additive manufacturing builds.
  • Prepare build files, optimise component orientation and maximise build utilisation.
  • Manage material and powder preparation, handling and traceability.
  • Depowder, clean and post‑process manufactured components.
  • Inspect components and identify manufacturing defects or dimensional issues.
  • Maintain accurate production, machine and material records.
  • Support prototype, R&D and production programmes.
  • Work with engineers to develop new additive manufacturing processes and applications.
  • Support Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) activities.7
  • Help develop build parameters and manufacturing processes for new components.
  • Investigate build failures and implement improvements.
  • Support the introduction of new additive manufacturing technologies and equipment.
  • Maintain equipment, carry out routine operator maintenance and ensure machines remain production‑ready.
  • Ensure all work complies with company quality, safety and manufacturing procedures.
  • Support FAIRs, inspection documentation, NCRs and full component traceability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve machine utilisation, build quality, repeatability and material efficiency.
Essential Skills
  • Previous experience working with industrial additive manufacturing / 3D printing equipment.
  • Practical manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions.
  • Good understanding of dimensional tolerances and component quality.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A methodical approach to production and documentation.
  • Good problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team.
Desirable
  • SLS additive manufacturing, particularly PA12.
  • EOS, 3D Systems or similar industrial AM equipment.
  • Additive manufacturing build preparation and nesting software.
  • Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM).
  • Aerospace or defence manufacturing.
  • AS9100 / AS9102.
  • FAIR production.
  • GD&T.
  • CMM or 3D scanning inspection.
  • CNC machining.
  • MRP/ERP systems and digital manufacturing traceability.
  • Metallic additive manufacturing.
