Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a 3D CAD Technician (Fabrication) in Leicester. You will design 2D and 3D models for a range of structural steel and bespoke metalwork projects, including balustrades, staircases and support beams for prestigious sites.

You will oversee the design from concept to completion, work with Tekla, and liaise with internal and external teams, with occasional UK site visits. The role offers £40,000–£50,000 plus training, a company vehicle and additional benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with 3D CAD in fabrication projects.
• Knowledge of detailing for metalwork and steel.
• Experience with Tekla or similar software.

Are you a 3D CAD Technician from a Fabrication background, looking to join a well-established company where you will be working on an array of exciting construction projects of bespoke metalwork and structural steel, including on prestigious sports stadiums?

In this role you will be designing 2D and 3D models for a range of projects within the structural, architectural and industrial sectors. Projects range from balustrades to staircases to support beams. You will oversee all design elements from cradle to grave whilst liaising with internal and external teams. This role comes with a lot of autonomy and ample opportunity to travel the UK for client site visits.
