Role of the Senior 3D Artist

The Senior 3D Artist pushes creative and technical boundaries, supporting the development of rendered imagery for marketing materials across all media types globally.

You will lead visually and creatively, setting standards and crafting images that highlight our client’s engineering focus. Your software skills will be innovative, workflows and pipelines will be skillfully implemented, and output will meet exemplary standards.

Working independently and within teams, you will use your initiative, dive deep into briefs, and communicate fluently with both commercial and creative teams. The role offers creative input, proactive development of your work, and collaboration with Art Directors, Team Leaders, and suppliers during key image creation stages.

As a senior team member, you will demonstrate initiative and commitment, be flexible, and adapt quickly. We promote a culture of knowledge sharing for skill development, encouraging a collaborative approach to learning and teaching.

You should master production and postproduction tools, understand what makes a successful image—light, form, surface texture, color—and strive for continual improvement and perfection in your work.

Your portfolio should showcase mastery of visual language, innovation, detailed craftsmanship, and a breadth of artistic interest.

Core Skills

• Deep knowledge of Autodesk Maya or similar DCC package and current render engines, preferably VRay.
• Polygon modeling skills for mechanical and organic objects (beneficial).
• Surfacing skills, including procedural and bitmap techniques, UV and projection mapping, PBR workflows.
• Understanding of real-world light behavior for high-end photorealistic imagery, from photography or CG experience.
• Excellent key-frame animation skills, with some VFX experience (ideal).
• Skills in post-production rendering using Nuke (ideal).
• Retouching skills with Adobe Photoshop, RGB to CMYK workflows, and a keen eye for color.
