REQUIREMENT

We seek talented 3D Animators for our animation department! The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating fun, exciting animations with attention to detail. Can you bring a character to life? If not, do you want to learn?

We want disciplined, artistic candidates with a solid grasp of animation techniques, fundamentals, and Maya. Animators will collaborate with our team to understand project needs, create storyboards and animations, and assist in editing. You should be collaborative, knowledgeable, and reliable.

To succeed, you should be adaptable, creative, receptive to feedback, and enjoy working with others, as our team treats each other like family.

This is an office-based position in Edinburgh, Scotland. You must be based there or able to commute to our office.

Skills Required

Basic

• Bachelor’s degree, animation certificate (not mandatory), or a strong portfolio.
• Understanding of animation, storytelling, and character development techniques.
• Attention to detail, adaptability, and openness to feedback.

Intermediate

• Knowledge of lighting, shadows, and textures.
• Ability to work independently or in a team to develop animations and solve problems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Advanced

• Understanding limb movement, weight effects, and skin/flesh behavior.
• Experience with Unity.
• Rigging skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-quality 3D character animations using Autodesk Maya.
• Develop blockout animations for timing, composition, and key poses.
• Create final animation sequences for presentation and approval.
• Craft expressive character performances conveying personality and story.
• Ensure all deliverables meet project requirements and deadlines.
• Manage animation files, asset libraries, and documentation.
• Apply creative direction to visually communicate stories effectively.
