Job summary

Smart Solutions is seeking an experienced 360 Excavator Operator to join a busy recycling and waste management site in Wales. The role involves operating heavy plant, loading and sorting recyclables, and ensuring production targets are met.

An on-site competency assessment will be carried out; candidates with expired or in-house licences will be considered if they have relevant operating experience. Weekend work is possible with a £130 weekend bonus.

Qualifications

• Operate 360 excavators safely and efficiently within a busy recycling and waste management facility.

• Carry out daily pre-start inspections and routine maintenance checks on plant machinery.
• Report any mechanical defects, faults or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Assist with general site housekeeping, ensuring work areas remain clean, tidy and hazard-free.
• Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures, including safe systems of work and risk assessments.
• Work closely with site supervisors and colleagues to support efficient day-to-day operations.

£14.00 per hour + £130 Weekend Bonus

About the Role

Pay & Benefits

• £14.00 per hour
• £130 weekend bonus when you have worked all five weekday shifts and are scheduled to work the weekend.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating a 360 excavator is essential.
• A valid, expired or in-house 360 excavator licence will be considered (successful candidates must pass an on-site assessment).

• Flexibility to work occasional weekends when required.
