Job summary

The NWH Group in Dumfries is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to safely operate a wheeled 360 excavator within a busy recycling and waste management environment. You will load, move and sort materials across the site and perform daily machine checks.

The role requires proven excavator experience, a strong health and safety mindset, and the flexibility to work additional hours as needed. Weekly pay and PPE are provided, with ongoing training and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a wheeled 360 excavator is essential.
• Relevant operator tickets would be beneficial but are not essential.
• Strong awareness of health and safety.
• The ability to work confidently within a busy operational environment.
• A reliable and flexible approach to work.
• Willingness to work additional hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating a wheeled 360 excavator.
• Loading and moving materials around the site.
• Sorting and handling waste and recyclable materials.
• Carrying out daily checks and basic maintenance of the machine.
• Reporting any defects or safety concerns promptly.
• Keeping the working area clean, safe and organised.
• Following all company health and safety procedures.
• Supporting the wider site team when required.
