Job summary

Jark PLC in the Suffolk area is seeking an experienced 360 excavator operator to join a long-term civil engineering project on site. You will operate a 360 excavator, carry out earthworks and assist groundworks teams on a busy civils project.

The role requires valid CPCS or NPORS card, proven excavation experience, and the ability to work safely to site levels. Immediate start available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating a 360 excavator on civils or infrastructure projects.
• Valid CPCS or NPORS card required.
• Experience with trenching and working around underground services preferred.

We are currently looking for an experienced 360 Excavator Operator to join a long-term civil engineering project in the Suffolk area.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled and reliable operator looking for consistent, long-term work on a busy civils project.

The Role

The successful candidate will be operating a 360 excavator as part of a groundworks and civils team, carrying out a variety of excavation and earthworks duties.

Responsibilities will include:

• Operating a 360 excavator safely and efficiently
• Excavating trenches for underground services
• Digging around existing services
• Excavating to levels and working to site specifications
• Loading and moving spoil and materials
• Assisting Groundworkers with ducting and service installation
• General earthworks and ground preparation
• Working alongside Groundworkers and Dumper Drivers
• Carrying out daily machine checks
• Maintaining a safe working environment around other plant and personnel
• Following site drawings, levels and instructions

Requirements

• Proven experience operating a 360 excavator
• Valid CPCS or NPORS card
• Relevant 360 excavator category
• Experience working on civils, groundworks, utilities or infrastructure projects
• Experience digging trenches and working around underground services
• Ability to work accurately to levels
• Good understanding of site health & safety
• Reliable and hardworking attitude
• Able to work effectively as part of a site team

Experience operating machines above and below 10 tonnes would be advantageous.
