A public environmental agency in Welwyn Garden City is seeking a Project Support Officer to assist in innovative flood risk management projects. Key duties include providing support to Project Managers, managing data, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders. Ideal candidates will have proficiency in MS Office, strong communication skills, and an ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment.
We are looking for a Project Support Officer to support the delivery of exciting, innovative projects including flood risk management studies and schemes that reduce the risk of flooding to communities and enhance the environment.
You will support Project Managers and project teams to deliver their projects. There will also be opportunities to provide administrative and logistical support to our wider team. You will become involved in a range of activities such as handling and processing data, tracking finances, setting up new project workspaces, organising meetings, and taking minutes, preparing notice of entry letters and public newsletters, ordering site signage, running reports, and accompanying Project Managers on site visits.
You'll develop your interpersonal skills, building a network of professional relationships. You will learn how to apply legislation, policy and guidance and use your communication skills with wide and diverse groups. You will be fully immersed in a professional project management service. As you grow in confidence, we'll also support your ambitions too, helping you use the experience as a springboard for your career.
Everyone that joins us is required to undertake training and participate in incident response duties when needed.
