As a Senior Estates Surveyor, you’ll work collaboratively within project teams as you help to deliver a nationwide £5.4 billion programme of capital flood defence work, including advising on compensation, negotiations, land acquisition, and access rights. Your expertise will be applied to manage a diverse land and property portfolio. Extending to 25,000 ha of land incorporating both commercial and rural property, your experience will include compensation, property management, valuation and dealing with landlord and tenant issues. As a successful and confident negotiator, you’ll represent our interests with a broad client base.
You’ll hold a portfolio of complex cases whilst supporting others through the proactive sharing of up-to-date knowledge of current legislation and best practice. You’ll join the Hub leadership team, which helps to manage delivery and reputational risks across England, and while much work is delivered in-house, some projects will require you to work with our suppliers through framework contracts.
Responding to incidents is an important part of what we do, and with this in mind you’ll have an incident role and should be ready to make yourself available to respond or provide business continuity support.
