Work Schedule: 3:00PM to 12:00AM, Monday to Friday

Our priority is to hire apprentice heavy-duty mechanics who care about safety and quality service. As a 310T apprentice mechanic, your minimum responsibilities include:

  • Perform repairs, inspections, safety checks, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on diesel vehicles.
  • Use vehicle computer systems to interpret failure modes and adjust Engine and Vehicle Control modules.
  • Respond to road calls for emergency repairs.
  • Review and complete repairs based on driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
  • Complete paperwork using fleet maintenance software.
  • Test drive trucks after repairs.
  • Assist team members with repairs as needed.
  • Interact professionally and courteously with drivers.
  • Adhere to all safety standards set by regulatory authorities and Waste Connections of Canada.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Registered 310T Mechanic Apprentice (Level 2 minimum)
  • Proficiency with diesel diagnostic tools, preventative maintenance, and repairs.
  • Basic tool set.
  • Valid Class DZ or AZ license is an asset.
  • Ability to pass all pre-employment verifications.
