We are currently looking for a skilled and dedicated 310T Mechanic to join us, ensuring our heavy vehicles operate safely and efficiently.This position is based out of Watford, ON. The successful candidate will be required to work out of Watford, ON.

Job Summary:
The 310T Mechanic will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of heavy trucks and trailers used in agricultural operations. This role requires a keen eye for detail, mechanical expertise, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. The successful candidate will work both independently and collaboratively to minimize downtime and support continuous operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle Maintenance and Repair:
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy trucks and trailers.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Repair or replace defective parts such as brakes, tires, suspension systems, engines, and transmissions.
  • Preventative Maintenance:
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and preventative maintenance to avoid breakdowns.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure all vehicles meet Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) standards.
  • Adhere to company and industry safety policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Keep up-to-date with regulations regarding commercial vehicle operations and ensure compliance.
  • Provide timely roadside assistance or on-site emergency repairs as needed.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues efficiently to minimize vehicle downtime.
  • Inventory and Documentation:
  • Maintain inventory of parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Order replacement parts and manage supplier relationships.
  • Keep detailed service logs and repair records.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with the operations team to schedule maintenance and prioritize urgent repairs.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers and supervisors regarding vehicle conditions and repair timelines.

Qualifications:

  • Valid310T Truck and Coach Technician Certification(Ontario).
  • Minimum3 yearsof experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Strong diagnostic, mechanical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license; AZ or DZ license is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance
