The DeputyAssociate Director of Nursing will be managerially and professionallyaccountable for a number of wards/departments, Matrons and Lead Nurses. Theywill provide clinical and professional leadership to the assigned clinicalwards and departments and specialist nursing teams ensuring that action istaken at all levels to empower nurses/midwives to provide high standards ofcare in a safe environment. They will uphold the reputation of the professionand adhere to the NMC codes of conduct, making the care of all people theirfirst concern. The DeputyAssociate Director of Nursing will be highly visible and recognisable topatients, relatives and staff and act as a champion for privacy and dignity,professional standards and patient advocacy. They will act as a role model,demonstrate respect, dignity and compassion when delivering their professional duties,and uphold the principles of equality and diversity.The DeputyAssociate Director of Nursing will demonstrate effective leadership, setting,monitoring and maintaining professional and clinical standards, workingcollaborative, manage complaints and lead the nursing contribution for clinicalgovernance at a specialty/department level. Theywill ensure that the requirements of the health act are adhered to andinfection control measures are implemented and monitored.
