An established non-profit organization is seeking a dedicated individual to provide intensive housing support to those affected by alcohol and gambling issues. RCA Trust is an independent voluntary organisation based in Paisley and a registered charity established in 1978. Our mission is to seek to limit the effects of alcohol, drugs and gambling issues on the individual, their families, and the wider community by providing a range of evidence-based services, interventions, and activities. We achieve this by providing one to one counselling, education, information, training, policy development and the empowerment of personal choice. We believe that with the right support recovery is available to all and that people do recover and progress with their lives.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This is a unique opportunity to work within the RCA Trust in conjunction with a wide range of partners across the Renfrewshire Locality. Based with the RCA Trust and working in partnership with the Renfrewshire Housing Support Team to provide Intensive Housing Support to a broad and diverse population affected by alcohol issues and gambling harms. To promote empowerment, enablement, positive decision making and promote recovery-based strategies where appropriate across the Renfrewshire community.
POSITION IN THE ORGANISATION
Reports to the Accommodations Principal in the RCA Trust. Point of contact with service users and a range of partner services and community resources.
SCOPE OF THE JOB
To support individuals affected by alcohol and gambling harms maintain and sustain their own tenancy, reducing the impact on wider housing and community-based assets.
QUALIFICATIONS
To ideally have an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or the motivation to work towards gaining it. Previous experience working within a housing support service would be preferable; training will be given.

This position is subject to two satisfactory professional, written references, one of which is preferable from the last employer. Evidence of the right to work in the UK. This position is subject to an Enhanced Protecting Vulnerable Groups Check (PVG). Particular consideration will be given to veterans or military leavers and their families.
