Job summary

JDR Recruitment is seeking a 3.5T Van Driver / Installer for Harworth and surrounding areas. You will join a two-person delivery team, delivering and installing white goods and electrical products directly into customers' homes. The role offers immediate inductions and a path to a 7.5T licence through training.

Reachable via immediate start with temp-to-permanent prospects. Based in Harworth, occasional Newark cover, fixed rota of 5 days on, 3 days off, Monday–Sunday shifts, 7:00am starts, 8–10

Qualifications

• A full UK Category B manual driving licence.
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence.
• No DR10, CD10 or IN10 endorsements.
• Your own transport to access the Harworth site.
• Excellent customer service skills throughout deliveries.
• Reliable, professional and positive attitude.
• Ability to carry out heavy lifting and manual handling.
• Flexibility to cover Newark depot when required.
• Willingness to work the fixed 5 on, 3 off rota, including weekends.
• Previous experience as a Van Driver/Delivery Driver/Driver Installer is preferred.

JDR Recruitment are currently recruiting 3.5T Van Drivers / Delivery Drivers / Installers to join a busy home delivery operation based in Harworth, supporting deliveries across Nottinghamshire, Yorkshire and the wider East Midlands.

You will work as part of a two-person delivery team, delivering and installing white goods, TVs and electrical products directly into customers' homes.

This is a temp-to-permanent opportunity with immediate inductions available. Full training is provided, including the opportunity to progress towards a 7.5T licence through the company's driver training scheme.

Shift Pattern

This role is working a fixed rota of 5 days on, 3 days off, which will include weekends.

Please do not apply if you can only commit to Monday to Friday, as the shift pattern is fixed and cannot be amended.

Location

Based in Harworth, S80, with an occasional requirement to support the Newark NG24 depot too.

Candidates must have their own transport to reliably get to the Harworth site.

Shift Times

• Shifts start at 7:00am
• Shifts typically last between 8-10 hours, depending on routing, traffic and delivery schedules
• Full-time, ongoing work available

Rate of Pay

• £13.63 per hour
• Paid weekly in arrears
• Overtime paid at time and a half for all hours worked after 45 hours per week
• Regular overtime available

The Role

As a Van Driver / Installer, you will:

• Drive a 3.5 tonne delivery vehicle
• Work as part of a two-person delivery team
• Deliver white goods, TVs and electrical products to customers' homes
• Safely install products in customers' homes
• Complete multiple deliveries per shift
• Load, unload and manually handle heavy and bulky items
• Provide excellent customer service at every delivery
• Represent a leading UK retailer professionally
• Ensure customers receive a positive and efficient delivery experience

Full training will be provided, so previous installation experience is not essential.

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A full UK Category B manual driving licence
• No more than 6 penalty points
• No DR10, CD10 or IN10 endorsements
• Your own transport to get to the Harworth site
• Excellent customer service skills
• A reliable, professional and positive attitude
• The ability to carry out heavy lifting and manual handling
• Flexibility to provide occasional cover at the Newark depot
• The ability and willingness to work the fixed 5 on, 3 off rota, including weekends

Previous experience as a Van Driver, Delivery Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, 3.5T Driver, Driver Installer or Home Delivery Driver is preferred.

We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong work ethic, good customer service skills and the right attitude.

Induction / Start Date

We have immediate inductions available.

Following successful completion of your induction, we are looking for candidates who can start work straight away and commit to the rota.

The induction is paid following completion of your first shift.
