Job Opportunity: Van Driver in Avonmouth

Are you an experienced Van Driver seeking a new opportunity? Aligra, on behalf of our client, is looking for motivated individuals to join their team in Avonmouth.

Responsibilities:
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects or issues to ensure the van remains in safe, roadworthy condition.
  • Plan efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries and collections, maximizing productivity and meeting deadlines.
  • Load and unload goods securely, ensuring items are protected during transportation.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately, including collecting and signing documents upon delivery or collection.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with store personnel and resolving queries professionally.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, including safe handling and transportation of goods, and report incidents immediately.
Requirements:
  • Valid UK driving license with Category B entitlement and no major codes.
  • Passed driving assessment and theory test.
  • Previous experience as a Van Driver, preferably in a multi-drop environment.
  • Good knowledge of road networks in Avonmouth.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and flexibility.
  • Competitive hourly rate (please specify the rate).
