Job summary

Great Bear, part of the Culina Group, is seeking a reliable 3.5 Tonne Van Driver to join our transport operation and deliver fine wines across London and the Home Counties. You will be responsible for safe, timely deliveries, loading and securing goods, and maintaining professional customer service in line with company policies.

Shift: Monday to Friday, 05:30 to 13:30, with occasional overtime paid at time and a half. Salary: £27,894.06 per annum.

Qualifications

• Full clean UK driving licence (Category B) and ability to drive a 3.5 tonne van.
• Previous van driving / multi-drop delivery experience preferred; but full training will be provided.
• Good knowledge of local road networks.
• Ability to lift and handle goods with care.
• As this is a fine wine operation, must be able to handle alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Multi-drop deliveries across London and the Home Counties, 5 to 30 drops per day.
• Load, secure and transport goods safely.
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report defects promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and complete documentation.
• Provide a professional and courteous service to customers.
• Ensure compliance with road laws and company procedures.
• Communicate delays or issues to the transport team.

Job Description

We are currently seeking a reliable and professional 3.5 Tonne Van Driver to join our transport operation who will be responsible for delivering fine wines. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods, always ensuring a high standard of customer service while adhering to company policies and legal compliance.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the road and working independently.

Shift: Monday to Friday, 9 hours per day

• Standard shift: 05:30 to 13:30
• Employees will typically work 1 to 2 hours overtime beyond their scheduled finish time
• Overtime is paid at time and a half for all hours worked over 40 hours per week
• Actual finish times may vary depending on workload and operational requirements

Salary: £27,894.06 per annum.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Multi-drop driving role covering London and the Home Counties completinganything from 5 to 30 multi-drop deliveries per day in line with planned routes and schedules to Private customers, Restaurants, Bars and hospitality venues
• Ensure goods are loaded, secured, and transported safely
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report any defects promptly
• Maintain accurate delivery records and complete all relevant documentation
• Always provide a professional and courteous service to customers
• Ensure compliance with all road traffic laws and company procedures
• Communicate effectively with the transport team regarding delays or issues

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For
