Job summary

Booker is seeking delivery drivers to join the Sheffield team, responsible for loading goods, delivering to customers and maintaining timely service. The role supports local routes with a focus on strong customer relations and accurate paperwork.

The position is full-time, 38 hours per week, with overtime opportunities and a 7-day operation that may include weekends. Booker's benefits include extensive colleague discounts and pension options.

Qualifications

• Cat B / 3.5T licence required.
• At least two years of driving experience.
• Delivery driving experience preferred.
• Ability to carry out manual deliveries.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude.
• Good level of literacy and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle and unload at customer premises.
• Complete paperwork accurately.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

This is a 7 day operation, our shift patterns may include some weekend working.

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

• Cat B / 3.5T Licence
• Previous experience of driving (at least two years)
• Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred
• Ability to carry out manual deliveries
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude
• Good level of literacy and numeracy
