Job summary

Booker Group is seeking a delivery driver for our Booker Wholesale unit in the UK. You will be part of a local delivery team, driving 45 hours per week and building relationships with regular customers. The role includes weekend shifts and overtime opportunities.

You will load stock at the branch, deliver to customers and complete paperwork accurately to keep shelves full and customers satisfied. A Cat B / 3.5T licence and prior driving experience are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude.
• Good level of literacy and numeracy.
• Previous experience of driving is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make sure customers shelves are kept full by ensuring products are delivered on time.
• Load stock into the vehicle at the Branch and unload at customer premises.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

Working on an “Any 5 from 7” contract, our shift patterns will include some weekend working.

Main Responsibilities

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

Cat B / 3.5T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
