Job description

Salary: Starting from £20.00 per hour, depending on experience

Job Type: Full-time, Temporary

UKR Group is looking for 2x experienced Paversto start ASAP in a job in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare ground surfaces by removing existing materials and levelling the area.
• Lay paving materials such as bricks, flags, concrete blocks, slabs, and natural stone in patterns or to design specifications.
• Mix and apply mortar, sand, cement, or adhesives as required.
• Use hand tools, machinery, and mechanical cutters to shape and fit paving materials.
• Ensure surfaces are even, aligned, and meet drainage requirements.
• Operate compaction equipment to finish paved areas.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Follow site plans, technical drawings, and health and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with site supervisors, labourers, and other trades as part of the construction or landscaping team.

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and precision.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and measurements.
• Practical knowledge of paving techniques and materials.
• Competence with tools such as trowels, levels, saws, and compactors.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labour.
• Basic mathematical skills for measuring and calculating quantities.

Requirements:

• CSCS Card
• Previous experience in paving, hard landscaping, or groundworks preferred
• NVQ Level 2 in Paving, Construction Operations, or equivalent
• Understanding of site safety regulations and practices
