Job summary

Owen Daniels in Knutsford, UK, is seeking a Mechanical/Mechatronics Design Engineer to take full ownership of designs from concept through to production. You will work across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems to progress concepts into robust field-ready machinery.

The role involves 3D modelling in SolidWorks, prototyping, validation and adaptation for real-world agricultural use, with opportunities to influence product development across disciplines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in machinery, mechanical or mechatronic system design.
• Strong SolidWorks 3D CAD skills.
• Experience integrating mechanical systems with electrical components, sensors, actuators and controls.
• Good understanding of tolerances and manufacturing processes.
• Experience designing machined components and fabrications.
• Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering qualification, or equivalent industry experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Previous agricultural machinery experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop agricultural machinery from initial concept through to commercial production.
• Produce detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.

Are you a Mechanical or Mechatronics Design Engineer looking for the opportunity to take full ownership of your designs from concept through to production? Our client, an award-winning agricultural machinery manufacturer, is looking for a Mechanical / Mechatronics Design Engineer to join their team and help develop the next generation of robust, field-ready machinery. You'll work across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems, seeing your designs progress from initial concepts and 3D models through to prototyping, validation and real-world agricultural use.
