Job summary

V.Group is seeking a 2nd Officer for Containership on a contract, shipboard location within the Deck department. The role functions as the vessel’s Navigation Officer and Medical Officer, reporting to the Master for safe passage planning and bridge equipment maintenance.

It also includes health monitoring of crew and involvement in cargo and ballast operations under the Chief Officer's supervision. Responsibilities include managing mooring parties, port watches, and ensuring up-to-date charts

Responsibilities

• The Second Officer serves as the vessel’s primary Navigation Officer and Medical Officer, responsible to the Master for safe passage planning and the maintenance of all bridge equipment and charts.
• As the Health Promotion Officer, the Second Officer monitors crew well-being while assisting the Chief Officer with cargo and ballast operations, including the supervision of mooring parties and port watches
