We’re looking for a skilled and proactive 2nd Line Support Engineer to join our team in Glasgow, providing high-quality desktop support to over 800 users. This is an office-based role, ideal for someone with a solid support background who thrives in a hands-on environment.
You’ll play a key role in resolving support tickets, ensuring seamless user experiences, and helping maintain the overall health of our systems and networks.
Respond to and resolve 2nd line technical support tickets (desktop and Microsoft 365)
Provide day-to-day desktop support, hardware troubleshooting, and software installations
Manage and support Microsoft 365 applications and user access for a large user base
Support WiFi troubleshooting and connectivity issues
Perform daily checks on backup systems and escalate anomalies as required
Collaborate with the wider IT team to ensure smooth resolution of complex issues
Maintain documentation and adhere to internal processes and SLAs
Proven experience in a 2nd line support or desktop support role
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365
Confident troubleshooting desktop, printer, network, and hardware issues
Experience supporting a high user-volume environment (800+ users)
Familiarity with WiFi troubleshooting and common networking issues
Advantageous: experience with backup monitoring and checks (e.g., Veeam, Datto, etc.)
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
A team player who’s confident working in a busy, office-based environment
