Job description

We are looking for suitable candidates with an understanding of support services who are interested in building upon their current knowledge to progress a career in IT. The role is for a client of mine, a leading IT Systems Integrator operating within the UK defence sector.

Responsibilities

This is a training role that will enhance the skills of a talented technician in service support and equipment provision, supporting training personnel, including provision, recording solutions, and providing repairs and continued service.

We are seeking keen candidates with knowledge of IT, devices, and an understanding of Windows 10 and device repair. Some limited experience with Desktop support is desirable, but training in all aspects will be provided for the right candidate.

The role is customer-facing, so the most important attributes are the ability to work within a team and to communicate effectively with customers and corporate partners.

Support hours are (Apply online only) per week on a split shift, rotated weekly as directed by the team lead, covering 37 hours. Example shift pattern will be (Apply online only) & (Apply online only), Monday to Friday.

Candidates will need to hold a full UK manual driving license.

  • Research, develop, and implement workarounds, fixes, RFCs, and new technology
  • Maintain records, procedures, and documentation related to IS services
