2nd Line Support Engineer

Our client is a small UK-based IT organisation based in Sussex, known for providing professional IT support services. They are seeking an experienced 1st / 2nd line support engineer to join their team in Newhaven.

Position Overview

1. Resolving IT support issues in a pressurised environment
2. Managing work queues and prioritising support queries
3. Logging and recording customer support issues with sufficient detail
4. Troubleshooting network connectivity issues
5. Work is split evenly between office-based and on-site
6. Installing, upgrading, supporting, and troubleshooting IT hardware
7. Must be DBS checked

Position Requirements

1. Experience in an IT support role
2. Knowledge of Active Directory
3. Experience with VoIP technologies
4. Knowledge of WordPress, HTML, and CSS (desirable)
5. Good network knowledge, including setting up routers, wireless networks, DNS, and DHCP
6. Familiarity with Office 365 and server management
7. Understanding of networking and virtualization
8. Full UK clean driving license

Position Remuneration

1. Monday to Friday, 9 am – 5 pm
2. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with an extra day off each year of service
