Job Description:

2nd line Security Analyst - Reading Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote) - £40,000 - £50,000 (DOE)

FryerMiles is partnering with a Reading-based manufacturing company to find a 2nd line Service Desk Security Analyst.

The main focus is to support the security of their infrastructure and applications by providing 2nd line support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Incident management and security monitoring
• Responding to security tickets within designated timeframes
• Ensuring compliance with security frameworks (ISO27001, Cyber Essentials+)
• Leading security patching efforts for internal and external systems
• Updating and improving security-related service desk procedures
• Collaborating with service desk colleagues to prioritize security in all IT functions

Key Skills & Experience:

• Experience in a technical security environment
• Background in Networking, application support, or service desk roles
• WAN/LAN networking experience
• Knowledge of cloud technologies
• Firewall and network security expertise
• SIEM tool experience (preferably Sentinel)
• EDR experience (preferably CrowdStrike or Defender for Endpoint)

This position is hybrid, based in Reading, requiring 3 days in the office and 2 days remote per week. It is open to UK residents only, and sponsorship is not available.
