Job Title – Network Support Technician – 2nd Line

Location – Bromley (Fully On-site)

Salary – £35,000

My client is on the lookout for a seasoned 2nd Line Network Technician to join their lively support team. This person will be vital in upholding their top-notch customer service by tackling and sorting out day-to-day network issues within a bustling, team-oriented setting.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, enabling them to effectively analyse situations, provide valuable input, and contribute to successful project outcomes. They’ll be highly organised, meticulous, and dedicated to completing tasks with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Logging and managing network-related tickets.
• Providing timely updates and resolutions via various communication channels.
• Troubleshooting complex network issues.
• Configuring and implementing network devices.
• Managing server OS patching and firmware upgrades.
• Contributing to technical projects and documentation.
• Delivering exceptional customer service.

Essential Skills:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in network support.
• Strong knowledge of Networks, Firewalls, and Switches.
• CCNA-level understanding of network architecture (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Aruba, or Juniper technologies.
• Experience with STP, VLAN, BGP, OSPF, IPsec, SSLVPN, QoS, DNS, DHCP, IPv4, and IPv6.
• Experience with Azure, Windows Server, and Linux distributions.
• Experience with RMM tooling and SNMP.
