Wavenet Ltd, based in Birmingham, is looking for a skilled 2nd Line Network Engineer to join our Service Operations team. You will provide advanced technical support to our customers, troubleshooting network incidents and ensuring high service standards.

The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in networking and security, particularly with Cisco and Juniper technologies. This role emphasizes in-person teamwork within the office environment, fostering collaboration for exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Proven technical experience in networking and security support.
• Strong diagnostic and administration skills across Cisco and Juniper technologies.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder interactions.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-line technical support and diagnostics for customer incidents.
• Work closely with clients to resolve issues and keep them updated.
• Manage SLA commitments for ticket prioritization and resolution.

Skills

Technical experience in networking and security support

Cisco Routing & Switching

Cisco management tools

Juniper & Extreme Firewalls

Experience with VLANs, VPNs

Firewall configuration
