Overview

2nd Line IT Support Technician - Bristol (with travel to Cardiff)

All travel and overnight stay will be expensed. Salary - £30,000 - £32,000

We're looking for a 2nd Line IT Support Technician to join a growing organisation with around 1,400 users, working across cutting-edge hardware, software, and infrastructure technologies.

Based in Bristol (with regular travel to Cardiff), you'll be supporting both onsite and remote users, combining day-to-day end-user support with more technical, hands-on troubleshooting. If you're keen to step into a more technical environment and grow your career, this is an excellent opportunity.

What you'll be doing
  • Respond to incidents and service requests logged in a modern ITSM system, resolving tickets in line with SLAs.
  • Troubleshoot desktop, telephony, network, and printing issues, and investigate software problems.
  • Ensure devices remain compliant with Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO 27001 standards.
  • Support and install hardware, software, and mobile devices.
  • Gain exposure to server administration and infrastructure technologies.
What we're looking for
  • Previous experience in a similar IT support role.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of:
    • Windows 10, MS Server 2019/2022, MS Office 365
    • Active Directory/Entra ID & Group Policy
    • IP networking & telephony, DNS, DHCP
    • Server, desktop, and network hardware
