2Nd Line IT Support Engineer

Salary: £32,000 - £37,000 + Fantastic Benefits
Location: Crawley, West Sussex
Hours: Monday - Friday | 8am - 4pm (with some flexibility)

Your role:
As a Senior IT Support Engineer, you'll provide Tier 2 IT support across multiple academies, solving higher-level IT issues while working closely with the IT Manager. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Installing and configuring hardware, operating systems, and applications
2. Monitoring and maintaining networks and computer systems
3. Troubleshooting system and network problems (hardware/software)
4. Supporting new application rollouts
5. Setting up new users, managing passwords, and resolving account issues
6. Responding to IT incidents within agreed timeframes

What our client is looking for:

1. Proven 2nd Line IT Support experience
2. Strong Active Directory skills - adding/removing users, password resets, Group Policy Management
3. Experience with Wi-Fi networks (Aruba preferred) and Switches/Infrastructure (DHCP, DNS, VLANs)
4. Working knowledge of Servers - Antivirus, Backups, SCCM or WDS
5. Networking experience

Bonus skills (nice to have):

1. Experience managing VLAN Ports and projects using core IT technologies
2. Google workspace experience
3. Previous IT support experience within education

A Full UK Driving License is required.
