2nd Line Engineer - MSP, Windows, Cloud

Birmingham - 30,000 - 36,000 + Benefits

Applause IT are working with a growing MSP who are on the lookout for a 2nd Line Engineer with solid experience within a Microsoft tech stack and having prior experience in a managed service environment.

The chosen 2nd Line Engineer will assume the role of delivering technical assistance to our clients. This entails tasks such as diagnosing and resolving issues, setting up and configuring hardware and software, overseeing user and device management, addressing technical queries, and resolving problems. It is also essential to escalate support tickets through our service desk to guarantee prompt issue resolution.

Responsibilities
  • MSP Background, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise accordingly.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Windows Server (Apply online only), Office 365, SCCM (or similar) Active Directory
  • Great communication skills, with great problem-solving abilities
  • Update the ticketing system, ensuring the call has been logged and all notes, progress and required actions have been input promptly and accurately.
  • Respond to Service Desk phone calls/tickets as needed
  • Virtualisation - VMWare ESXi 7.0 Veeam Backup & Replication / Hyper-V
  • An ability to explain technical problems in a simple way to end users at all levels within the business.
