Job summary

Buzzworks is recruiting for a 2nd Head Chef at Vic's & The Vine in Prestwick. You will support the Head Chef, lead the kitchen during service, and drive high standards with a focus on consistency and creativity. This permanent role offers progression, flexible shifts, and a strong team culture.

You will manage rosters, control gross profit, monitor stock, and mentor chefs across levels while ensuring strict health and food safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience as 2nd Head Chef in a busy kitchen.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Proven ability to manage GP and stock efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen team to deliver high standards during service.
• Support rota planning and keep GP under control.
• Mentor and develop chefs at all levels, ready to cover Head Chef duties.
• Maintain health and food safety compliance across the kitchen.
• Communicate clearly between kitchen and front of house.
