Job summary

Tech-People in Lingfield, Surrey is seeking an experienced 2nd Fix Carpenter to join a new-build development for approximately one month. The role requires installing internal doors, skirting boards, architraves, and kitchen fittings, with independence on a busy site.

Start date 18 September 2026; pay £250 per day; on-site work with standard PPE and a valid Blue CSCS card. You will work as part of a small site team to deliver high-quality second-fix carpentry finishing.

Qualifications

• Valid Blue CSCS Card.
• Proven experience as a 2nd Fix Carpenter, ideally within new-build projects.
• Own tools suitable for second-fix carpentry.
• Full PPE.
• Reliable and hardworking attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider site team.
• Good attention to detail and a high standard of finish.

Responsibilities

• Fit door ironmongery, including handles, latches, locks and hinges.
• Install internal doors and associated fittings.
• Fit kitchen units and complete associated carpentry works.
• Install cabinets and bespoke shelving.
• Complete general second-fix carpentry and finishing works.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship throughout the project.
• Work safely and efficiently while meeting project deadlines.

Our client is currently working on a development of 7 new-build homes in Lingfield, Surrey, and is looking for an experienced 2nd Fix Carpenter to join the team for approximately one month.
