Job description

Job Title: DV Cleared Wintel Engineer/Integrator
Location: Stevenage 5 days per week (7-3 or 10-7 shifts)
Duration: 6 months
Rate: Up to £600 per day via an approved umbrella company

Our Defence sector client is looking for a Wintel Integrator/Engineer to join their team.

Brief overview on the role/project:

The Wintel Engineer will have specialist skills in supporting multiple products and systems for various customers to maintain the availability of the IT service delivered to end users. The role also involves delivering medium complexity work packages as part of customer implementation projects.

Mandatory skills:

1. Experienced in installing and configuring MS Windows Server and associated technologies (e.g., AD, DNS, WSUS).
2. Both physical and virtual server configurations.
3. Experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 (physical and virtual devices) including associated services (e.g., AD, DNS, WSUS).
4. VMware experience (to the extent of deploying and maintaining payloads) with NetApp SAN and Cohesity backups.
5. Microsoft System Centre Operations Management and System Centre Configuration Manager.

Desirable skills:

1. Enterprise Management tooling and agent deployment.
2. Server Agents deployment and configuration (e.g., Backup, AV, tenable).
3. SIEM agent deployment (i.e., Splunk).
4. Build automation software - Ansible and PowerShell skills.
