2975 - Applications Development Support Officer

An opportunityhas arisen for an Applications Development Support Officer to work within theApplications Development Team of the Business Intelligence Department atBarnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

TheApplications Development Teams duties primarily include providing datawarehouse management and maintenance, developing new systems and applications,supporting changes and new functionalities, working alongside other teams toensure maintenance of SharePoint versions as well as creating and supportingeForms used across the Trust.

The post holderwill assist the team to manage application development projects. Other Dutieswill include liasing between application developers and business systemowners.This post requires someone to work well as team and the ability to workon their own initiative.

This is a greatopportunity for someone eager to learn and understand different roles withinthe development team at Barnsley Hospital.

Main duties of the job

Toprovide helpdesk services as the second line support for system issues andrequests from service users, internal and external and maintain regularreporting on performance of the support provided.

To assist with the development andsupport of existing and new clinical systems ensuring that data qualitystandards, security standards, audit requirements and data protectionrequirements are in place and maintained.

Perform general systems housekeepingduties such as user accounts maintenance, data traffic cleansing and serverchecks.

To assist in the development andmaintenance of appropriate documentation relating to system support andmanagement responsibilities in accordance with BHNFT standard system managementmodel.

To liaise with external/internalgroups/suppliers including in relation to support and product development forclinical systems.
