Job title: WAN Network Architect

Location: Hampshire/hybrid

Salary: £60k plus 10% bonus

Candidates must be willing and eligible to go through SC security clearance for this role.

I am looking for a WAN Network Architect for a client of mine who are a leading IT systems integrator operating within the UK defence sector. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and on projects of importance.

Your experience:

  1. Demonstrable experience of understanding the customer's business and technical requirements and issues and producing solid network solutions.
  2. Demonstrable design experience in proposing and utilizing technologies from multiple global network vendors (e.g., Cisco and Juniper), including production of quality technical documentation for delivery and solution support.
  3. Solid understanding of the project end-to-end lifecycle, from initial requirements gathering to Operational Acceptance into Service, including good commercial and financial awareness regarding risks and dependencies associated with delivery projects.
  4. Ability to support project and programme management with reporting and ensure timely project delivery that meets customer expectations.

Required Skills:

  • Strong technical networking knowledge with industry-recognized network certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Juniper JNCIA-Design or JNCIA-Junos.
  • Ability to create non-standard solutions that may include LAN, WAN, WiFi, VPN, Voice, Video, Cyber, and Security technologies.
  • Ability to liaise with others in the Program team where solutions cross responsibility borders.
