Job summary

ACE Tiverton School is seeking a Pathway 1 Teacher to lead the Year 7 Engage Pathway Class within our nurture provision. The role focuses on delivering personalised education across Key Stage 3 and 4, with support from Teaching Assistants and the Student & Family Support Team.

The post offers a permanent, full-time position (32.5 hours/week) in Tiverton, within Reach South Multi-Academy Trust, and opportunities for professional development and career progression.

FTE Salary Range: MPS1 - UPS3 + SEN Min; £32,916 - £51,047 + 2787

Contract Type: Permanent, full time

Contract Hours: 32.5 Hours per week, Monday to Friday

About the Role

We are proud of the success of our Pathway 1 (based on the nurture principles) classes across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. This role establishes this approach from the point that our students join our school family. The Engage Pathway enables us to support students across our full age and ability range with a consistently relational, highly personalised approach. Each class benefits from the support of a dedicated Teaching Assistant and a linked member of our Student & Family Support Team, forming a wraparound network that helps every child make progress academically, socially, and emotionally.

ACE Tiverton is a thriving special school for students aged 11 to 16. Since opening in September 2019 with just 35 students, we have grown to serve more than 120 young people from across Devon. As part of Reach South Academy Trust, we support students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), primarily relating to Communication and Interaction needs, alongside sensory, medical, emotional and mental health needs. About the Trust

Reach South is a young and developing Trust which operates across the South West of England with the aim of delivering all through 3-19 education.
