Job summary

Malmesbury Park Primary School in Bournemouth is seeking an Assistant Headteacher Inclusion to start January 2027 (or earlier). The role leads SEND provision across the school and includes management of the Resource Provision for pupils with social and communication needs, SEND team staff and Inclusion team.

The post holder will provide strategic leadership of inclusion, acting as the school's SENDCo and contributing to Senior Leadership Team development, with duties aligned to the School

Location: Malmesbury Park Primary, Lowther Road, Bournemouth BH8 8LU

FTE Salary Range: L3 - L7, £54,394 - £60,145

Contract Type: Permanent

Contract Hours: 32.5 per week, Monday to Friday

About the Role

The Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion will be responsible for the SEND provision across the school, including the Resource Provision for pupils with social and communication needs, SEND team staff, Inclusion team.

Core Purpose

As Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion, the post holder will provide strategic leadership and operational management of inclusion across the school, ensuring high quality provision and outcomes for all pupils, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

The role includes full responsibility as the school's statutory SENDCo while contributing to the wider leadership and development of the school as a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

All teachers are required to carry out the duties of a teacher as set out in the current School Teachers Pay & Conditions document.
