Job summary

NHS Lothian is seeking a porter to drive vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes for transport of goods, supplies and patients and to support portering services across the organisation.

As from 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours per week; part-time hours will be reduced pro-rata with a corresponding increase in hourly rate so pay is not affected.

Role

Responsible for driving vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes in the transport of goods, supplies and patients and to facilitate the provision of portering services to enable the efficient and effective delivery of quality portering services to the organisation.

As from 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
