Job summary

NHS Ayrshire & Arran in Dumfries is seeking a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join the Trauma & Orthopaedic ward on a fixed-term basis until 28 February 2027, covering time-limited leave.

You will work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals with acute trauma and post-operative needs, with full induction and ongoing professional development.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and compassionate Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our Trauma & Orthopaedic ward on a fixed-term basis until 28/02/27, covering time limited leave.

Ward C6 is a busy and dynamic acute admissions ward specialising in the care of trauma and orthopaedic patients. You will be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals with a range of acute conditions and post-operative needs.

The Successful Candidate Will Demonstrate

Previous experience in an acute or surgical setting is desirable but not essential, as full support and induction will be provided.
