Job description

Position Overview: As a Junior Product Developer at 247, you’ll support the product development team in delivering innovative, performance-driven product ranges. You’ll assist in coordinating the product creation process from concept through to sample delivery, gaining hands-on experience in supplier communication, cost tracking, and PLM management. This is a great opportunity to grow in a fast-paced, sports-focused brand environment and develop a solid foundation in product development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the product development process from concept to launch, ensuring data accuracy, product tracking, and timely updates across systems.
  • Assist the 247 Product Developer and Head of 247 in day-to-day operations, ensuring projects stay aligned with timelines and brand vision.
  • Maintain and update the systems and sample trackers, supporting the team in monitoring the critical path and staying on top of key deadlines.
  • Communicate with suppliers, sharing updates, requesting information or samples, and escalating issues to the Product Developer when needed.
  • Collect initial pricing data for prototype samples and ensure cost sheets and trackers are accurately updated.
  • Support cost analysis and margin tracking, helping prepare information for design reviews and ensuring pricing aligns with business targets.
  • Help create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOMs) in PLM with attention to detail and support from the senior team.
  • Assist in managing lab dip and print approvals, tracking submissions and documenting approvals for seasonal development.
  • Attend design and development meetings, contributing research, market insights, and helping document key actions or updates.
  • Join comp shop visits and support fabric/trim sourcing by gathering inspiration and documenting findings to support future collections.
  • Participate in fit sessions and prototype reviews, recording feedback, updating tracking documents, and learning from cross-functional input.
  • Collaborate with the wholesale and design teams, helping prepare for SMS deadlines and internal meetings.
  • Prioritize admin and data entry tasks, keeping line lists and development systems current and accurate.
  • Contribute to a high-performing, collaborative team culture, supporting 247’s mission to bring premium, functional, sport-inspired products to market.

Experience:

You have;

  • A relevant degree or diploma in Fashion, Product Development, Buying, or a related field.
  • A passion for sportswear design and the branded apparel market.
  • Some hands-on experience through internships, placements, or junior roles in Development, Buying, or Design.
  • A good foundation in garment construction and product development processes.
  • An eagerness to learn from working with factories and global sourcing teams.
