Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Shift Mechanic for the Cumbria site to join a 24/7 maintenance team. You will perform onsite maintenance and fault finding on advanced packaging machinery, including printing presses and extrusion lines, while supporting proactive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires time-served industrial mechanical experience, an ONC/HNC in mechanical engineering, and a commitment to safety and teamwork in a busy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in an industrial engineering environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and PUWER awareness.

Responsibilities

• Onsite maintenance and engineering support for site assets to maximise OEE.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance and complete tasks.
• Prioritise workload and adapt to shift patterns.
• Utilise CMMS for maintenance records and stock management.
• Contribute to training of apprentices and maintenance staff.
• Diagnose faults on printing presses and blown film extrusion lines.
