Job summary

LRQA is seeking a SOC Analyst to join the 24x7 shift team in Birmingham. You will detect and respond to threats using SIEM, EDR, network monitoring, and threat intelligence, triage events, provide context and risk assessments for customers, and contribute to projects to enhance our security services.

The role emphasizes threat hunting, deploying new technologies, malware analysis, developing detections, and cross-team collaboration in LRQA's award-winning SOC.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel and Defender across enterprise environments, deployment, configuration, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate as part of the 24x7 SOC Monitor Team, providing proactive defensive monitoring to clients.
• Generate detailed incident reports with recommendations, mitigations, and remediations.
• Respond to alerts and customer requests within SLAs.
• Maintain awareness of Defensive Monitoring technologies and trends.
• Understand current threats and cyber crime trends.
• Produce management and operational reports within SLAs.
• Tune alerts, playbooks, and automations.
• Communicate findings to customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
