Job summary

ONNEC builds, supports and optimises the IT infrastructure, networks and connectivity which drive global business performance. The Data Centre Engineer role involves 24x7 shifts, incident management, asset tracking and overseeing 3rd party vendors to ensure high reliability and compliance.

You will work in a fast-paced environment supporting a prestigious international financial client. Ideal candidates have proven data centre experience, strong networking knowledge, and familiarity with DCIM

Qualifications

• Experience in data centre environments, high-risk settings
• Strong understanding of infrastructure tech and networking
• Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy)
• Attention to detail and proactive approach
• Good communication skills at all levels
• Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Maintain and govern the data centre operations and assets
• Coordinate with facilities providers to maximise energy efficiency
• Perform installations, decommissions, changes and maintenance
• Handle 24x7x365 shift pattern and incident escalation
• Update documentation and inventories
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and quality standards
• Escort and supervise 3rd party vendors
