A public health service in Edinburgh is looking for a full-time Registered Dental Nurse for a fixed-term position of 9 months. The successful candidate will provide support to the dental team and must possess current registration with the General Dental Council (GDC). Strong interpersonal and organisational skills are essential. This role includes public holiday shifts. Applications should be submitted early due to high interest.

NHS Lothian Oral Health Service is pleased to invite applications for a full-time, fixed‑term position as a Registered Dental Nurse. This one‑year post is based within the Edinburgh Dental Institute and the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People, serving across the Pan‑Lothian region.

This contract includes a requirement to participate in public holiday shifts to support unscheduled care services. Participation is compensated through an enhanced remuneration agreement, in line with Agenda for Change
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check done than is currently the case. If the post is assessed as a “regulated role”, your appointment will be subject to joining the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
