A leading healthcare provider in Glasgow is seeking a part-time Housekeeper to maintain hygiene and cleanliness at its Edinburgh hospice. The successful candidate will ensure cleanliness in patient and public areas, support laundry services, and be flexible in covering shifts. Experience in a cleaning role, particularly in healthcare, is preferred. The position offers 15 hours per week over 2 days, with a salary of approximately £25,694 to £27,000 pro-rated for part-time hours.

The care and support we provide is highly valued by the people we care for and their loved ones, but at present we are only reaching around 10% of dying people at the end of life. Right now, one in four people in the UK with a terminal illness, do not get the care or support they deserve at the end of their lives.
We want a different society than the one we live in now. Our mission for the next five years is to close the gap in the number of people missing out on what they need at the end-of-life, through 3 ways:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our Housekeeping Team at Marie Curie Edinburgh Hospice on a part-time basis for a 12-month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the Hospice, ensuring all areas are kept safe and welcoming for patients, families, and staff. Responsibilities also include managing laundry and ironing duties to support the smooth running of the service. Flexibility is essential, as the role may require covering Bank Holidays, annual leave, sickness, and other short-term absences, occasionally at short notice. Wherever possible, additional hours will be planned in advance.

Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 2 (aligned with AFC) £25,694 to £27,000 please note this salary is based on full time hours, this salary will be pro-rata based on the part time hours advertised. You will receive enhancements for working weekend and bank holiday shifts.
Contract:12 months Fixed Term Contract - Onsite - 15 hours per week across (2 days) including weekends
