Job summary

Overview

Fixed Term - 6 Months

Please note: As this post is part-time, the salary will be pro-rata.

Role and Responsibilities

Within specific locality of Edinburgh HSCP the post-holder will have delegated responsibilities for the clinical, strategic and managerial leadership of the Occupational Therapy service in Adult Mental Health Community Mental Health Team, Substance Use Service and Mental Health Community Rehabilitation, ensuring provision of a quality service to patients and to provide leadership to senior and junior staff through supervision and appraisal. The post-holder will have delegated responsibilities for the professional leadership for the Occupational Therapy service in Adult Mental Health. The post-holder will develop and implement service changes and act as a specialist resource.

The post will be approximately 60% clinical and 40% management – flexible in line with service need.

Requirements

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
