A regional healthcare provider in Edinburgh seeks a Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner to work with children and young people. The ideal candidate will collaborate with a forward-thinking physiotherapy team and contribute to a comprehensive range of services. Experience in healthcare settings is advantageous but not required. The position mandates PVG Scheme membership for working with vulnerable populations.

We are looking for someone to join our team as a Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner. We would welcome applications from those with relevant experience and a keen interest to work with children, young people and their families. The age of the population we see means that experience working with children and young people in healthcare settings is beneficial but not essential.
This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced physiotherapists, the wider multi-disciplinary team as part of the team within the Royal Blind School in Edinburgh. The post holder will be contributing to the delivery of a comprehensive range of services in partnership with families, children and young people.
You will join a forward-thinking physiotherapy team who cover the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People as well as the City of Edinburgh, Midlothian and East Lothian Health. This role is based within the Royal Blind School Edinburgh.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check done than is currently the case. If the post is assessed as a "regulated role", your appointment will be subject to joining the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
