A national healthcare authority in Scotland is seeking a dedicated professional to manage the Health Records Service. To be accountable for the successful delivery of a comprehensive, efficient and secure Health Records service, including overall responsibility for all departmental health records services supporting acute, community and primary care sectors, inpatient and outpatient administrative services, medical/legal services, records storage / retrieval, clinical coding, statutory returns and data quality aspects of health records and associated information services. NHS Lothian holds responsibility for all aspects of the Health Records Service and Health Records Information, including the provision of expert advice on Health Records matters and reporting and monitoring of information to Clinical Divisions. This includes investigating, advising, communicating and reporting on highly complex and contentious Health Records information within NHS Lothian and externally to NSS/PHS and the Scottish Executive.
